Concept Development and Requirements Analysis Services

ABZ offers a full range of concept development and requirements analysis for engineers and managers in power plant operation and system analysis. System Design, Engineering, and Integration Services

Specific services include:

  • In-depth analysis and review of power plant design to update design calculations, drawings and instrumentation setpoints.
  • Cross-checking of as-built and operating data with design bases and safety regulations.
  • Analysis and evaluations of the methods, equations and physics necessary to solve problems related to fluid flow.
  • Provide support and advice to engineers in develop solution model for complex fluid systems in diverse industries such as aerospace, process gases, chemical processing, power generation, and oil and gas production. Examples include: Chemical Plant Perimeter Fire Systems, Gasoline Transfer Station, Aircraft Landing Fittings, and LNG Tanker.

Commercial Job Title: Executive Consultant

Minimum/General Experience: Fifteen years of experience in management, engineering design, risk assessment, operations, maintenance,regulatory compliance and quality assurance. Extensive program and project management experience in any of the areas cited above.

Functional Responsibility: Provides management oversight of overall company performance including fulfillment of client guidance and contractual compliance. Serves as a point of contact with client regarding program activities. Ensures all required resources, including manpower, production standards, computer time, and facilities are available for tasking implementation. Manages programs consisting of multiple projects, including project identification, design, development, and delivery. Maintains the development and execution of business opportunities based on broad, general guidance.

Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in a relevant field, or a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field plus five additional years of relevant experience.


Commercial Job Title: Principal Consultant

Minimum/General Experience: Ten years of experience in management and engineering, with a minimum of five years specialized experience in the field of design, project management and plant operations. Demonstrated program and project management experience in support of the engineering and design projects.

Functional Responsibility: Provides high-level research, analyses, and reports in the relevant functional area. Serves as the primary contact with client and manages projects to meet the client's requirements. Provides interface between the client and company resources and manages assigned projects to meet client requirements. Determines project scope with the client and manages the design of assigned projects. Communicates with the client on an ongoing basis. Represents the company to the client. Ensures positive and ongoing relationship with clients. Responds effectively to meet the client's needs. Manages project budget, schedule and delivery of services.

Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in a relevant field, or a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field plus five additional years of relevant experience.


Commercial Job Title: Senior Consultant

Minimum/General Experience: Eight years of experience in project controls, design and engineering with a minimum of four years specialized experience related to the field of energy and fluid flow.

Functional Responsibility: Provides research, analyses, and reports in the relevant functional area. This includes, but is not limited to, assessment of the client’s system design and implementation including personnel, hardware, software, support facilities, and equipment. Exercises judgment and competency in areas of compliance, specifications, and internal controls. Provides technical knowledge and support to various company programs.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant business or engineering discipline, or relevant industry-certified technical training plus five additional years of relevant experience.


Commercial Job Title: Consultant

Minimum/General Experience: Three years of engineering experience in engineering and design.

Functional Responsibility: Performs assignments in respective engineering discipline. Assists in complex paraprofessional engineering activities and preparation. Assists in the development of plans and designs. Investigates, analyzes and assists in preparing engineering computations, estimates, surveys, and statistics.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline, or relevant industry-certified technical training plus five additional years of relevant experience.


Commercial Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Minimum/General Experience: Five years of experience in office management, document control, word processing, spreadsheets, and computer operation.

Functional Responsibility: Specializes in coordinating and planning office administration and support. Understands and provides documentation planning and support, project administration, general office support, executive secretarial support, human resource planning, event planning and administration, office relocation planning, mail services, records and data input.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree.


Commercial Job Title: Support Staff

Minimum/General Experience: Two years practical experience in an office environment.

Functional Responsibility: Performs data entry and related tasks as required for project support. Typically has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within a related field. Provides mid-level professional expertise in administrative field.

Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
